Hello, my name is Steve Parrott and I running for
Re-Election for Ward One Alderman. It is said, “The Power of the
Pen” refers to the idea that the written word holds significant
influence and can be used to inspire, persuade, and even change the
world. I guess the same can be said about the “Stroke of a
Keyboard.” I hope to inspire and persuade you to vote for me.
For the past 10 years, I’ve had the honor of serving the residents
of Ward One as your Alderman. While we have seen progress, there is
still much work to be done. One priority is implementing the
strategic planning needed to guide our community’s growth, attract
businesses, and promote tourism, all while preserving our
conservative values.
For those who are new to Ward One, I want to share a little bit
about myself and what type of person I strive to be in all facets of
my life, including Alderman.
My wife, Katie and I moved to Lincoln 30 Years ago and have resided
in Ward 1 for 28 years raising our three daughters.
Teaching and Service are two of the greatest things someone can
give. I believe the most impactful leader is a service leader. I
most admire the leadership from those who are in the trenches with
you. Someone who when tough times come, won’t quit, but works hard,
especially for those who placed them in a leadership role.
Throughout my life I have dedicated myself to teaching and service.
