At
the Tuesday night Committee of the Whole meeting of
the Lincoln City Council, aldermen witnessed the
promotion of four individuals within the Lincoln
Fire Department.
The promotions are a direct result of the city
recently establishing a new position of Deputy Fire
Chief within the department. The Deputy position
differs from the Assistant Chief positions in that
the Deputy will assist the chief with more of the
department administrative duties.
Chris Harding was promoted to the position of Deputy
Fire Chief. Todd Koehler was promoted to the
position of Assistant Fire Chief. James Reed was
promoted to Captain and Chad Kern was promoted to
Lieutenant.
City Attorney John Hoblit was absent for the evening
so the swearing was conducted by Mayor Tracy Welch.
