The long awaited Tremont Street reconstruction project in Lincoln started on Monday, August 17th. The first step in the project is tree removal, which will result in temporary closures of sections of the street for the next little while.

Because this is a massive project, completion is anticipated to take several months. Motorists who commonly use Tremont as a connector between North Logan Street and Union Street should consider using other connector streets in that area.
