On Thursday evening, Representative Bill Hauter (right) and Senator Sally Turner (left) were among those who spoke at a rally on the lawn of the Logan County Courthouse prior to marching from the courthouse to Lincoln Junior High School were the advertised CoGFA Public Hearing would take place. The subject of the rally and the hearing was the future of Logan Correctional Center, a state run women’s prison in danger of being shut down.

At the hearing, Turner and Hauter were in one of several panels that came before the Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability. Also speaking on that same panel was Logan County Board Member Dale Nelson (third from right).

Read a thorough report of the public hearing in today’s edition of Lincoln Daily News.
